Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT)

In collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, City of Lake Charles, and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Lake Charles Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has mapped Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) data throughout the Metropolitan Planning Area. This data is used in the development of various transportation planning projects, including the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).

The AADT map shown below provides traffic data collected at regular intervals from counting stations throughout the region. As these counts do not occur every year, a formulated – or estimated – count may be developed to calculate traffic trends.
