Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP)

The Southwest Louisiana Regional Planning Commission (SWLA‐RPC) has developed the Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP). The Plan’s sole purpose is to explore all efficient and effective services towards helping those who are transit‐dependent within Southwest Louisiana.

The Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP) was developed for the Lake Charles Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (LCMPO) and the overall Southwest Louisiana region with assistance from private, non‐profit, and public agencies, including the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). Stakeholders have met to advise and assist in the conduct of the feasibility assessment. The entire project team offers thanks and acknowledgment to the dedicated participants in creating and updating this Plan.
